Lavender Simple Syrup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water

  • 3 tablespoons fresh or dried lavender flowers

  • 2 cups sugar

Method

  1. In medium saucepan, bring water and lavender to a boil.

  1. Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.

  1. Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes.

  1. Remove from heat and allow to cool and steep for at least 1 hour.

  1. Strain the lavender, pour into bottles and store in refrigerator.

Notes

  • With a 2:1 sugar to water ratio, this is a very sweet syrup.

  • This syrup will store well for about 2 weeks in the fridge.
