Lavender Simple Syrup

Ingredients

1 cup water

3 tablespoons fresh or dried lavender flowers

2 cups sugar
Method
- In medium saucepan, bring water and lavender to a boil.
- Stir in sugar until fully dissolved.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool and steep for at least 1 hour.
- Strain the lavender, pour into bottles and store in refrigerator.
Notes

With a 2:1 sugar to water ratio, this is a very sweet syrup.

This syrup will store well for about 2 weeks in the fridge.
